Make Room

Week 2 of 4|John 4:7-19
  • It’s Not What You Think: God’s plans often differ from our expectations. What looks like a diversion or a hardship (like Jesus going through Samaria) is often a divine appointment for a greater purpose.
  • The Samaritan Woman’s Encounter (John 4:7-19):
    • Jesus intentionally went through Samaria, demonstrating that His movements are dictated by divine calling, not convenience.
    • The woman at the well was likely a victim of circumstances (cultural practices of divorce), not a promiscuous woman. Jesus met her in her marginalization and isolation.
    • Jesus offers "living water," symbolizing eternal life, purification, and restoration that the world cannot provide.
  • There Is More to the Story: True fulfillment is not found in success, possessions, or worldly achievements. Only the Holy Spirit can truly satisfy our spiritual thirst.
  • Knowing vs. Obeying: Belief in Jesus is essential, but obedience to His commandments is what carries you to the next level. It’s not just about knowing about Jesus, but knowing Him personally.
  • Use Your God-Given Authority: You have a voice and authority through Christ. Use it to declare victory over your circumstances, speak truth over your life, and use your gifts for God’s glory.
  • Make Room for God: Living a routine life without purpose is not God’s intent. Making room for the Holy Spirit to build and shape you will lead to a life of purpose, freedom, and exceeding movement from God.
